Amélie Grégoire Taillefer holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Laval University, a master's degree and a doctorate in ecology and entomology from McGill University. She has over 15 years of experience in environmental project management and scientific research, popularization of science, statistical and geospatial analyzes, field data collection and species-level insect identification. Author of a dozen scientific articles and reports, she was also the database coordinator of the Lyman Museum insect collection at McGill University, biologist for species at risk at the Canadian Wildlife Service, project manager at COBAVER-VS for integrated water management.

In 2017, she founded BioÉco Environnement, a consulting services company specializing in environment and entomology.

​

Over the past few years, she has carried out or participated as a project manager, biologist, entomologist, consultant and scientific researcher, in numerous environmental projects. Its various mandates, in particular the ecological studies necessary to obtain certificates of authorization under article 22 of the Environment Quality Act (EQA) of the MELCC and article 128.7 of the Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife of the MFFP; preparation of education and popularization tools; the development of scientific protocols and the identification of insects brought her to several regions of Quebec (Nunavik, Capitale Nationale, Bas-St-Laurent, Metropolitan Community of Montreal, Baie-James, Laurentides, Outaouais).
